Live Oak Media has a 29-year tradition of producing distinctive readalong recordings of classic and award-winning children's literature for ages 3-12. As a small, family-owned company, we are dedicated to providing our young listeners with meaningful reading and listening experiences.
Our recordings have received distinguished recognition, including the inaugural ALA Odyssey Award, three Grammy® Awards, Audie Awards, ALA Notable Recordings, along with outstanding reviews. We are as committed to customer care as we are to our quality recordings. We hope you'll give us a listen!

We so appreciate all of you who sent us ideas and suggestions for books in Spanish you'd like to see on audio. We plan to release two new titles in early 2010 and are still considering other acquisitions. So thanks to all of you! And, congratulations to Becky!
Forthcoming releases
Punctuation Takes a Vacation will be available by the end of May -- a fun and interesting summer reading assignment for students to help them remember the value of punctuation even while they're on vacation!
Louise, the Adventures of a Chicken will also be available by the end of May. A picture book written by Kate DiCamillo and illustrated by Harry Bliss, and narrated by the indomitable Barbara Rosenblat. About a chicken who has amazing adventures. Need we say more?!
And if you like chickens - and who doesn't? -- check out The Chicken Sisters, by Laura Numeroff, also narrated by Barbara Rosenblat. Silly fun!
We're also partial to roosters at Live Oak Media, and our favorite ruler of the roost stars in Elvis the Rooster and the Magic Words, which also features his peacock nemesis Cluck Gable. Fowl fun abounds!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COMPLIANCE
In response to the recent legislation passed by Congress referred to as the “Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008” Live Oak Media confirms that our products conform to the safety standards set forth in this action. To that effect, we have obtained documentation and letters certifying that the components of the products we purchase and sell – CDs, cassettes and their packaging – do not contain toxic materials and comply with the standards.Even though the Consumer Product Safety Commmission has issued a one-year stay for testing and certification of products, we have taken the action necessary to assure that our vendors are compliant, and that our products are safe for children. We will continue to monitor the activity of the CPSC regarding this issue, and keep our customers informed. We hope you've had a chance to use our Activity Guides, available for ALL titles and easy to download. The guides feature curriculum-based activities in music and language arts, as well as other subjects. Look for our "Listen to Audio Sample" to hear a clip of many of our titles. More are being added.
